The show has become the most popular cartoon in the world and is now on its 16th season. Unlike all other popular cartoons of the past, SpongeBob SquarePants ? was only hand painted one year 1999. After that time, they produced the cartoon on computer. Each cel and drawing is uniquely different and one of a kind.
