In 1936, Auktionshaus Bloss was founded in Freiburg. Today, the company is run by the fourth generation of the founder’s family. In 1997, the auction house moved from Freiburg’s city center to the picturesque suburb of Merzhausen, just outside of Freiburg. There, a sales area of approx. 900 square metres houses the freehand sale and the previews held during the week preceding Bloss’s auctions.

Auctions are held four times a year, either as special sales (books, Asian art, toys etc.) or with a broad range of antiques and works of art in which every collector will find a matching object.
