The Sworders’ story began in a Bishop’s Stortford coffee shop in 1782 with local businessman Mr Peter Ramsey. The company he founded grew into a broad-based practice providing advice in fields as diverse as agriculture, residential property and commercial buildings.
More than 200 years later, the company now focuses exclusively on fine art and antiques. In 2008, we opened a new and exciting chapter in our history by moving to purpose-built, environmentally-friendly, auction room with 21st century facilities, essential in today’s fast moving and technologically driven marketplace.
