Among French auction houses the Tajan is one of the elite, with exquisite artworks, record sale prices, and international prestige. The Tajan was purchased in 2003 by Rodica Seward, an American art collector and businesswoman. Since that time, the Tajan has conducted numerous high profile auctions, including a Jean-Michel Basquiat self-portrait that sold for $1,804,529 in November of 2013.
The Tajan hosts more than 60 live auctions annually (about one sale a week) to local and international buyers on-site and online.
