拍品描述 翻译
Height: 13.1cm This bronze statue of two Buddhas sitting together is simple and generous, rough and powerful, with two Buddhas sitting together on the front and one seated Buddha engraved on the back. A reference to an almost identical bronze statue of two seated Buddhas exhibited in Japan in the early years, inscribed in the third year of Zhengshi of the Northern Wei Dynasty (506), the stout lines, the oblong head light and the seated Buddha on the back are identical. With reference to another bronze gilt statue of two Buddhas sitting together, also from a private collection in Japan, inscribed with the twentieth year of Taihe of the Northern Wei Dynasty (496), it can be seen that this style of statue was popular around 500 AD. Reference: Special Exhibition of the Six Dynasties の Gold copper 仏, Kuboko Memorial Museum of Art, Wakizumi, 1991, page 68, Plate No. 70. Jin Shen, Ed. "Ancient Buddha Statues in Overseas and Hong Kong and Taiwan Collections - A Chronicle of Treasures," Shanxi Publishing Group, Shanxi People's Publishing House, September 2007, p. 426. The two Buddhas sitting together is a Buddhist term, and the allusion comes from the "Lotus Sutra" volume four "See Pagoda Pin". In the past, before the Buddha's Tathagata came into destruction, he swore that after his destruction, if there was a place in the ten realms where the Fa Hua Sutra was said, its pagodas would inevitably spring up as proof and listen to what the Buddha said. Therefore, when Shakya Buddha wanted to speak Hua, many pagodas poured out in the sky, Shakya Buddha opened the pagoda door at the request of all the Buddha, and saw that the whole body of Shakya Buddha was placed in a posture of lotus lotus lotus, with the seal of Dharma. The Buddha invited Shakya to enter the pagoda, and divided the throne into a half seat with Shakya, so the two Buddhas sat next to each other, and Shakya began to proclaim the Buddha's beautiful purpose. Fa Hua Sutra is an important Mahayana Buddhist classic. Zhu Fahu translated Fa Hua Sutra in Chang 'an in the seventh year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (286). In the eighth year of Hongshi (406), Kumarashi re-translated the Fa Hua Sutra, and his disciples attached great importance to it. The Fa Hua thought was widely spread, especially in Hebei, and the practice of "Fa Hua samadhi" increased, and the "Fa Hua Samadhi view" is based on the two Buddhas of Shakya and Tupo sitting together as objects of meditation. This led to the popularity of the unique form of two Buddhas sitting together during this period.
