A silk embroidery panel depicting an eagle perched in a pine tree with flowers given to General Howard by General Zheng Jieming. The embroidery panel has 2 seals, a poem, and a dedication all embroidered on the panel. It has a silk backing and wooden dowels. Dimensions are: 39 1/2 inches tall X 17 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The piece is in overall good condition with very minor staining. Provenance: From a Washington DC collector, whose father was General Samuel L. Howard.
