A pair of Japanese Arita blue and white tripod dishes
Edo period, early 18th century
The scooped foliate rims of the dishes are crafted in imitation of European baroque silverware, the centre of each dish is decorated with a roundel enclosing pavilions and trees surrounded by a floral border, all standing on three triangular feet.
