Chinese porcelain potted in a round shape, bulbous body with flat base, rounded shoulder gently elevated short neck toward opening. Covered overall with a soft creme-grayish glaze suffused with a fine crackle ending at the bottom of the foot rim to expose the dark-grey ware burnt olive-brown at the edges. The glaze appearance resembled the texture of an orange peel ju-pi (chu-pi) or a chicken skin. The water coupe displayed upon a carved hardwood stand. Six Blue Characters Reign Mark on base, Qianlong Reign, Qing Dynasty.
