A rectangular gilt bronze repousse two-piece gift casket. The cover is elevated and features a pair of phoenix with buds Lingzhi and some tendrils. A slender gilt collet encloses the chamfered edges. Pair of quail appear on the outer bands of the short sides. And pairs of longevity birds are present on the long sides. Peonies with leaves and tendrils are found at each corner. The casket edges display repousse panels featuring two pair of geese in flight surrounded by a stylized foliate pattern. The bottom shows a reverse pattern. The four feet exhibit a lappet decoration.
