Finely potted pair of tea bowls with outer and inner collars of ruyi with stylized flowers on a ruby ground which is carved and slightly raised into a rolling wave design. The center body features a charming design of a pine tree, prunus and Buddha?s hand citron symbols bordered by a thin gold collet, the ruyi collar on ruby ground and another gold collet. The sequence is repeated on both inside and outside rim and base. The outer body is covered with a wide band of calligraphy. Blue underglaze reign mark. Qing Dynasty.
