From The Collections of Mrs. Alice Marie Hazell, Reached the wonderful age of 81 being born in 1935-2017. She was the spouse of the late victor Hazell together they had traveled the world together they enjoyed visiting museums and later became employed by several smaller museums, Victor Hazell was placed in charge of procuring many of the items for the various museums, while his specialties were bronzes he developed a passion for jade and porcelain items. In the early stages in his career he found that he could find items of great value that the museums had no room for or had similar items in their inventory. Having the resources to date and value the items he found became a real serendipity for him, it started out as a few collectables to a full-scale collection. With the sale of these collectibles it is hoped for that another private collector will add these treasures to their portfolio and treasure them as much as Victor did. a small baluster vase with a matching domed cover ending with a flat surface and topped with a ball knop. The rim drops to a gently indented neck decorated in an archaic dragon pair of handles. The handles drop to the shoulders. The body then flares to a gentle hourglass shape terminating into a flat surface with four raised feet. The feet fit into slots in the base. The overall effect of the carved design is that of a piece of brocade fabric that has been draped over the entire form. An ornately carved fitted spinach jade stand accompanies this vase. A symphony in pale celadon jade. Qing Dynasty
