Thinly potted with rounded sides rising to an everted rim, deftly painted in darker tones of cobalt-blue forming outlines infilled with paler and varying tones of cobalt-blue, the exterior with a gently undulating meander of hibiscus blooms alternating with leafy buds with pointed leaves, all between double line bands at the rim and foot, similarly painted in the interior encircled by a similar hibiscus blooms meander with a central medallion enclosing a single flower head within a circle, the base inscribed with a six-character Chenghua mark, 7.3 inch diameter.
