A lovely pale blue transfer ware set of dishes by Edge and Malkin of Staffordshire England with a rare girl and dancing goat pattern.Low fired ceramic dish set comprised of a teapot and lid, three cups with saucers and a small plate. There is a pale blue transfer pattern of an aristocratic girl playing with her pet goat in front of a manor house. The dishes have a twisted loop border. The teacups have a picture of the manor house on the inside well. The lid has a vent and is decorated with the loop pattern. The glaze is smooth, thin and appears shiny. There is some fine crazing to the glaze.All the dishes except the three teacups have the number 201 imprinted on the bases. The teapota€?s lid is perfect. The teapot has a break at the spout and a small chip on the mouth flange but is otherwise perfect.
