The base metal is heavy, giving the piece a nice weight. The handle is circular with two rods that are attached at the peak with a beaded band. The sides of the arc are decorated with an overlay of flowers and vine. The bowl rests in a central well that has a repeating repousse band of flowers. Two florid sidepieces rise from the band to contain the glass bowl. The central bowl than tapers to rest on a raised base with four florid ornate feet. The feet are tall and give the piece an airy quality. The back of the hand-blown ruffed glass bowl is a white milk glass. The face is a nice cranberry color edged with a clear glass bead.
