A sentimental heart shaped hand blown serving dish that has been hand painted with sparrows in a winter scene.A hand blown glass dish in the shape of a heart. I believe it was intended as a card receiver. The glass is cased with white glass on the back and a pale blue glass on the surface. There is a lovely gradation of darker blue to pale blue. The edge is crimped like a starched womana€?s collar. The glass is hand blown. You can see the ground edge of the pantile mark under the metal pedestal. There are also glass imperfections such as bumps and bubbles. The interior design is of three sparrows flying and resting in snow covered branches, painted in white, brown, yellow, black and gold enamels. The crimped mouth edge is gilded. The base pedestal looks like a nickel alloy. It has not tarnished but ita€?s not silver plated. There are no marks or labels.MEASUREMENTS 8 ??a€ (21.6 cm) long x 8a€ (20.3 cm) wide x 5a€ (12.7 cm) tall.
