A necklace made with 58 handmade glass beads made on the Island of Murano for trade with tribal peoples. These were purchased in Portland Oregon. They were probably for trade with the Pacific Coast Indians.Handmade round translucent glass beads with blue, white, and pink dot decoration that are threaded on a raffia string. Each bead is approximately 12 mm in diameter, although the beads are not uniform and have imperfections. Some beads are not perfectly round, some have no pink or blue dots, some are more transparent than others, and some have dark specks in the glass. They are all very individually made.The beads were purchased in Portland Oregon from a trusted dealer of Native American arts who attributed to the Northwest Coast Indian tribes.There are no marks or labels.MEASUREMENTS Hangs 13a€ (33.0 cm) long. 26" of beads.
