A delicate, tightly woven and heavily embroidered silk sleeve cuff with flowers in two types of embroidery stitch.A rectangular pale beige silk panel has been embroidered with flowers using blue, red, rose, white and black silk threads. The large central flower uses pekin knot embroidery and the other flowers use satin stitch. The panel has a pale brown coarse linen or cotton backing with a black silk border and a black silk damask inner border.The letters (MXDO) are written on the back at one end, and there are the remnants of a paper label on the other end.MEASUREMENTS 23a€ (58.4 cm) long x 7 ??a€ (19.7 cm) wide. Weighs 1.7 oz (50 g)CONDITION There is unraveling at the top of the panel which is repeated in spots down the length of the panel. Satin stitch is missing from many of the flowers. There is some unraveling on the black damask border. The back looks like it is stained or dirty. There are damages but it still looks good. The colors are still fairly bright for the age.A nice old Chinese embroidery that would look good framed. Ia€?m amazed that the delicate embroidery has lasted this long.Item ID: A-1886
