The border has dragons surrounded by brocade designs. The inside well is bordered by a key fret pattern. The main central design is of cranes flying over a lake with rocks, waves, trees and swimming turtles. The underside of the platter was painted by hand with blue designs of grasses. Circles decorate the foot. The platter rests on a raised foot ring which is unglazed. The base is glazed.There are no marks or labels.MEASUREMENTS 10a€ (25.4 cm) wide x 9 1/8a€ (23 cm). Weighs 1 lb 7.5 oz (665 g)CONDITION There are two rim chips on the underside that dona€?t show on the upper surface. There are no cracks or breaks, and the platter rings like a bell. There are several black spots and pinhole kiln flaws. The platter has very little surface wear.
