Description: Lacquer, wood and bamboo. Burma, late 19th – early 20th century
A special pair of three-part bulbous vessels, each raised on four clawshaped feet, the outside densely decorated in orange-red and black with a beautiful elaborate drawing of dancers and creatures of the zodiac, all on a cross-hatched background. The base with flora design and Burmese scripts. The inside simply lacquered in red.

Condition: Good and stable condition but the age is obvious, cracks and chips along the borders and surface - one damaged foot and two broken and later stuck together
