Durga is a particularly venerated goddess and the protector of many royal houses. In this work, she is depicted as a peaceful, maternal aspect, as indicated by the damaru drum, with Yoni and Lingam symbols on its sides, the conch and the two mystical triangles arranged in a star shape. Durga’s mount, a tiger, is also seen in the front, and some figures are standing on the edge in worshipping poses.
