Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) Late 19th century
Each flattened, elongated ovoid vase set on splayed feet and decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt over a crackled glaze with large panels containing courtyard scenes with Samurai in full armour and interior scenes with ladies.
Height 12cm.
