GEORGE III STERLING CRUET SET BY SAMUEL WOOD, 1765, H 10" The sterling silver five piece cruet stand with a shell form handle, raised on four shell feet, adorned with a rocaille crest. Includes one sugar caster, H.7 1/2", together with two smaller casters, H.6 1/4", all with a gadrooned shoulder and neck, and a twisted finial above openwork; two cut glass bottles with sterling silver lids accompany, H.6 7/8". Each sterling silver piece engraved with family crest. Hallmarks include: lion passant, crowned leopard head, and London date letter 'k' indicating year 1765, and maker's monogram (see additional photo). The sterling cruet stand measures overall H.10" x 8 1/4" x 6 1/2". Approximately 46.58 troy ounces weighable.
