A Hanging Bell Push with Grouse, Bronze, Austria, 20th C | H?ngeklingel mit Auerhahn, Bronze, ?sterreich, 20. Jh. Bronze. Austria, early 20th century. Hanging bell push with the figure of a wood grouse performing a courtship dance, sculpted in the round Detailed rendered plumage. Cylindrical push button at the lower part of the sphere Height: c. 9.5 cm. Provenance: North German private collection. Besides fox, wild boar, deer and pheasant, the wood grouse is one of the preferred animal figures for lovers of stalking and hunting and was a popular decoration for the hunting room. Bronze. ?sterreich, frühes 20. Jahrhundert. H?ngeklingel in Form eines vollplastisch ausgeführten Auerhahnes beim Balztanz. Detailreich gestaltetes Federkleid. Zylindrischer Drücker am unteren Ende der Kugel. H?he: ca.9,5 cm. Provenienz: Privatsammlung, Norddeutschland. Gemeinsam mit Fuchs, Wildschwein, Reh und Fasan geh?rt der Auerhahn zu den bei Jagdliebhabern bevorzugten Tierfiguren, die ein gern gesehener Schmuck für das Jagdzimmer waren.
