Carved by A. J. Steggall of Fayette, Iowa circa 1900 - consisting of an Ox cart with driver, mule cart with African American driver, top hatted man, a farmer, and assorted small carvings of animals, book, tools etc. Carvings were discovered in the cabin attic of Dr. Herschel Hendrix, Dean of Upper Iowa University from 1952-1981. Dimensions are: Largest - 17" long, 7 1/2" tall. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Scattered age wear, minor damage. Fine.
