Other Notes: Mr. Laurence S. Barringer purchased this Charleston secretary bookcase for Airy Hall Plantation sometime between 1941-1965, as part of the furnishing for the plantation established in 1701 in the lowcountry of South Carolina.
Mr. Barringer engaged prominent interior designer Mr. Otto Zenke to assist him with the furnishings of the house.
Wood sample analysis indicates cedar secondary woods (report available upon request).
