Other Notes: This pattern commonly referred to as the Tomato or Pumpkin Vine, was first introduced in 1937, and was featured in Tiffany's display in the House of Jewels pavilion at the New York World's Fair (1939-40). It was designed three years earlier by Norwegian staff designer Olaf Wilford (1894-1980). This well-liked pattern was produced in limited numbers until the early 1950's, and is illustrated in Jewel Stern's Modernism in American Silver, p.177 fig. 8.15 and 8.16.
