Description: Substantial wide multi-ribbed hinged bangle characteristic of Napoleon III aristocratic jewellery. The oval front plaque features a polished black onyx base overlaid with fully chased dimensional gold leaf and branchwork forming fruiting sprays. The fruit clusters are composed of a central oval emerald surrounded by old mine cut diamonds, while the plaque perimeter is fully pavé-set with calibrated small emeralds. The shank is constructed from stacked polished gold ribs with fine engine-turn engraved detailing to the interior, fitted with a secure side hinge clasp. Heavy solid gold construction with intact original stone settings and crisp chased foliage detailing throughout.
