Description: Monumental stemmed display goblet representing the pinnacle of Viennese imperial silver-enamel craft. The vessel is fully clad in fine polychrome miniature enamel over its body, stem and foot, set within richly chased silver mouldings. Multiple shaped cartouche panels are individually hand-painted with classical pastoral and mythological scenes featuring robed figures, putti and woodland landscapes against an ornate crimson scrollwork enamel ground. A pair of elegantly scrolled foliate silver handles extends from the flared upper rim, while segmented silver collars with geometric engravings divide the tall slender stem. The wide circular foot is finished with a polished silver border, all original miniature enamel painting remains vivid and intact with minimal wear to silver chasing.
