Description: Iconic Grand Tour convertible brooch-pendant crafted in Rome during the Victorian age, a prime example of fine micro mosaic craft. The large circular upper plaque is bordered by layered hand-twisted rope gold wire with granulated bead accents, centred by an intricate micro mosaic panel depicting a vivid multi-coloured butterfly set against a white tessera background with blue geometric edging. Three articulated drop pendants suspend freely below: two symmetrical teardrop micro mosaic plaques with red ground white floral motifs, plus a central round floral mosaic drop finished with graduated gold bead finial. The piece is engineered for dual wear: fitted with a secure horizontal pin stem for brooch use, with an integrated top bail to suspend as a necklace pendant. All micro glass tesserae remain tightly intact with minimal loss, retaining vibrant original colour saturation across every mosaic panel.
