拍品描述 翻译
Dimensions: 5.7 cm (2.24 inches) long, 17 grams, 7th-10th centuries. Condition and provenance: The bead is in excellent condition overall, with a thick patina, bright luster, and fine weathering patterns on the surface. There are natural wear marks at the perforation. There are slight old chips at both ends, indicating ancient use. The symbolic eye pattern is clearly visible, and the black and white etched patterns are distinctly layered. Some areas of the pattern show natural fading due to aging. There is no modern artificial polishing or pattern alteration, no later etching, and no new cracks. This ancient dzi bead displays its authentic weathering state. From a private collection in Seattle, Washington, USA. This Tang Dynasty three-eyed dzi bead was acquired in 2001 by a Washington collector specializing in ancient Himalayan beads from a Nepalese antique dealer. Since then, it has been kept in a temperature- and humidity-controlled artifact storage box for private research and collection. This Tang Dynasty three-eyed dzi bead has never been publicly auctioned or exhibited. Description: This is a Tang Dynasty three-eyed dzi bead, made of etched agate, in a classic flat and elongated shape. The bead has a deep base color, decorated with milky white bleached patterns. The three eyes are neatly arranged, with parallel horizontal lines outlining the upper and lower edges. The ancient etching technique is exquisite, with naturally smooth transitions at the edges of the patterns. Having been passed down for centuries, the bead has developed a rich, aged patina, covered with fine, fish-scale-like weathering patterns. The bead hole is smoothed and rounded from long-term threading, and slight ancient chipping marks are visible at both ends. In Himalayan cultural tradition, the three-eyed dzi bead symbolizes prosperity and well-being. This bead is well-preserved, with clearly visible etched patterns and authentic, natural weathering marks. It is a beautiful ancient Himalayan ornament with extremely high value for Tibetan cultural and folk research, ancient beadwork research, and private collections.
