拍品描述 翻译
Dimensions: Each coin is 3.9 cm (1.54 inches) in diameter, with a total weight of 268.4 grams. This is a set of official machine-struck silver coins from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period (19th and 20th centuries). Condition and Provenance: This set contains nine machine-struck silver coins, covering five major types of silver dollars: the 3rd year of the Xuantong reign silver coin, the Guangxu Yuanbao minted by the General Mint, the Sichuan Province Guangxu Yuanbao, the Sun Yat-sen Founding Commemorative Coin, and the Yuan Shikai Military Uniform Commemorative Coin. All coins are in excellent condition, exhibiting a natural patina developed over a century, with a soft, gradual color change. They have not undergone chemical cleaning or artificial aging treatment. Fine relief details, including text, dragon patterns, portraits, and double flag designs, are clearly visible; the edges and serrations are sharp and even. There are no serious dents, stamping marks, welding repairs, re-engraving, or weight alterations. Some coins show slight natural wear due to historical circulation, a typical characteristic of circulated antique silver coins; there are no cracks or perforations. This set of silver coins was initially consigned for auction by an Oriental Coin Gallery in Toronto and entered the hands of a private collector in Nevada specializing in modern Chinese machine-struck coins in 2026. New York, Vancouver, and Toronto are important global hubs for the trading of Chinese antique coins. Description: This set of nine one-yuan silver coins from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period is a complete collection covering the core circulating currencies of the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, encompassing representative one-yuan silver coin varieties from these two historical periods. The Qing Dynasty section includes three Xuantong 3rd year curved-beard dragon-patterned Qing Dynasty silver coins, three Guangxu 7-weight 2-gold silver coins, and one Sichuan Province Guangxu 7-weight 2-gold silver coin. The dragon patterns are exquisitely engraved, majestic yet delicate, with rich three-dimensional details such as cloud patterns, dragon pearls, and dragon scales, fully demonstrating the unique silversmithing techniques of the later imperial mint. The Republic of China period includes two Sun Yat-sen "small head" commemorative coins for the founding of the nation and one Yuan Shikai military uniform commemorative coin. The lifelike portrait engravings, paired with complete wheat ear patterns and the five-colored double flag design on the reverse, faithfully preserve the original design language of China's founding currency. Each coin was minted using standardized industrial mint processes, strictly adhering to official weight specifications and bilingual (Chinese and English) inscription formats. They are important physical artifacts documenting the transformation of China's modern monetary system and the fusion of Eastern and Western minting techniques. These coins have been preserved through generations of private collections, exhibiting a natural and even patina, and are all unique. This set of coins possesses multiple values in numismatic research, modern financial history research, and ancient silver coin collecting. As a high-quality, complete collection, it is highly sought after by overseas private coin collectors, maintaining stable demand and long-term appreciation potential at Western antique coin auctions.
