拍品描述 翻译
Dimensions: The complete set is 13.5 cm (5.31 inches) high. This is a Song Dynasty Hutian Kiln celadon wine pot set, dating from the 10th to 13th centuries. The wine pot is six-lobed melon-shaped, paired with a lotus-shaped wine bowl. The lid is decorated with a reclining animal motif. The entire set is covered with a pale blue-white glaze, with natural, fine crackle patterns. Condition and Provenance: This Song Dynasty Hutian Kiln wine pot set is complete. The wine pot and bowl are original, with no parts separated or missing. The glaze is glossy and translucent, covered with naturally formed crackle patterns. Faint yellow soil stains are visible on the rim, spout, handle, and foot ring, a natural patina formed from long-term burial underground. The bottom of the wine pot is unglazed, using dry, light yellow fired clay with a fine texture, untouched by artificial aging. The entire set is free of any minor cracks, damage, missing pieces, or signs of repair; the carved animal-shaped lid knob is intact, and the melon and lotus petal patterns on the warming bowl are well preserved, with only slight natural wear on the glaze. This set of artifacts was previously handled by a renowned Song Dynasty porcelain gallery in Hong Kong and was purchased by a private collector in Hong Kong in 2022. Hong Kong was a major global trading center for Song Dynasty porcelain before the Ming Dynasty. Description: This complete set of a Song Dynasty Hutian kiln celadon melon-shaped wine pot and matching lotus petal warming bowl is one of the best-preserved treasures among Song Dynasty wine vessels. It is a masterpiece that perfectly blends Song Dynasty porcelain craftsmanship with the aesthetics of ancient literati. A complete set is extremely rare on the market. The wine pot is shaped like six rounded and soft melon petals, with an arched handle on one side and a slender and elegant straight spout on the other. The lid is decorated with a three-dimensionally carved crouching mythical beast, whose facial features are distinct, its posture vivid and charming, and the carving is exquisite. The matching warming bowl has a five-petaled lotus-shaped rim, and the bowl wall is decorated with layered lotus petal patterns. The wheel-throwing marks are still clearly visible on the inside of the bowl's bottom, which is a typical characteristic of Hutian kiln porcelain. The entire set is covered in a uniform, translucent light bluish-white glaze, with a soft sheen and delicate natural caviar-like patterns, showcasing the tranquil and simple beauty unique to Song Dynasty ceramics. The unglazed foot rim reveals dry, pale yellow clay with natural yellow spots, showing no signs of modern artificial dyeing or aging. Warming wine was a core part of Song Dynasty literati banquet culture, and this set of wine pots and bowls was the central tableware for such banquets. Most extant pieces of the same type have flaws such as separated bowls, broken animal-head knobs, minor cracks, or chipped edges; however, pieces like this, perfectly preserved without any signs of repair, with a crack-free glaze and retained natural crackle patterns and patina, are extremely rare in museum collections and the global auction market. Hutian kiln bluish-white porcelain is renowned for its jade-like white color, mirror-like luster, thin body, and mellow tone; this set perfectly embodies the unique glaze texture and exquisite Song Dynasty design language of bluish-white porcelain. It combines practicality, cultural value, and multiple meanings: it is not only a functional antique tableware, but also an artifact reflecting the social customs of the Song Dynasty, and an important specimen for studying ancient Chinese ceramic firing techniques, making it a top museum collection and highly sought after by collectors of pre-Ming Dynasty porcelain around the world.
