拍品描述 翻译
Dimensions: Each vase: Height 28 cm (11.02 in), Mouth Diameter 10.6 cm (4.17 in) | Period: 16th Century | Wanli Period, Ming Dynasty | Condition and Provenance: From a private collection in New York, USA, acquired in the 1970s from an antique market on the East Coast of the United States, and has remained in the same family collection ever since. Both movable rings are intact and functioning properly. No cracks, repairs, or obvious damage. The iron-red enamel painting remains vibrant and rich, with only slight signs of aging. The glaze is smooth and well-preserved, and the exposed foot rims exhibit natural firing and aging characteristics. A pair of exceptionally well-preserved late Ming decorative porcelain. Wanli Period, Ming Dynasty. Each vase features an elegant octagonal flared mouth, a slender neck, broad shoulders, a rounded body, and an octagonal flared foot rim, with a balanced overall shape and a strong architectural aesthetic. Square handles on both sides support freely movable hanging rings, a testament to the superb craftsmanship of late Ming porcelain. The porcelain pieces are covered in a soft, bluish-white glaze, with rich iron-red glaze decoration on the surface. The neck is adorned with upright phoenix leaves, diamond-shaped floral patterns, dotted ground patterns, and ruyi-shaped borders, while the handles and rings are decorated with the same iron-red glaze. The body is dominated by lush peony flowers, surrounded by flowing, dynamic scrolling floral patterns, symbolizing prosperity, abundance, and lasting good fortune. The lower part of the body is decorated with geometric and lotus-patterned borders, creating visual balance and reinforcing the elaborate and ornate decorative aesthetics of the Wanli period court. The recessed foot is neatly inscribed with the six-character underglaze blue reign mark "Made in the Wanli Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty." This pair of porcelain pieces has an elegant, octagonal shape, employs a movable ring structure, and is decorated with exquisite iron-red glaze, showcasing the refined decoration of the late Ming Dynasty. It not only possesses extremely high decorative value but is also an important example of Ming Dynasty ceremonial porcelain.
