拍品描述 翻译
Dimensions: Diameter 17 cm (6.7 in./0.56 ft), Height 11 cm (4.3 in./0.36 ft), Weight 2901 g; Ming Dynasty, 15th century. Condition and Provenance: This incense burner is well-preserved, with a thick bronze body and a naturally formed bronze patina, exhibiting a warm chestnut brown color. The lotus petal decoration is clearly visible, and the six-character mark "Made in the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty" is clearly visible on the base. Provenance: Private collection in California, USA, long-term private art collection. Description: This elegant Xuande-marked bronze lotus petal incense burner is a classic example of Xuande-style ritual vessels and scholar's objects from the Ming Dynasty. The shape is modeled after a Buddhist alms bowl, with a full and rounded body, a wide mouth, and soft, flowing lines, giving it an overall dignified and stable appearance. This incense burner is well-proportioned and exquisitely crafted, suitable for both Buddhist incense ceremonies and elegant scholar's studies. The rim of the incense burner is decorated with a double layer of lotus petal patterns. The tips of the upper layer of petals curl like clouds, creating distinct layers and a remarkable relief effect with precise control of carving depth. The base is also decorated with a layer of upward-curving lotus petals surrounding the central inscription. The two layers of decoration are seamlessly integrated and complement each other. The body of the burner is deliberately kept simple, highlighting the natural luster of the bronze and the marks of time, showcasing the understated elegance of Xuande bronzes. This incense burner is cast in high-density, finely crafted bronze, giving it a substantial weight and excellent feel. The surface of the burner has naturally formed a chestnut-brown patina, with slight signs of wear. The body, recessed decorations, and base all exhibit a uniform oxidation color. The base is inscribed with a square, raised six-character inscription, "Made in the Xuande Year of the Great Ming Dynasty," with symmetrical characters and clearly visible casting details. This exquisite bronze incense burner is inspired by Buddhist ritual implements, with the lotus pattern symbolizing purity, enlightenment, and spiritual harmony. It combines exquisite classical casting techniques, Xuande design style, and Buddhist symbolism, making it a highly valuable choice for collection, display, and ceremonial appreciation.
