Dimensions: Height 41 cm (16.1 in./1.35 ft), Mouth Diameter 14 cm (5.5 in./0.46 ft), Late 17th to Early 18th Century. Condition and Provenance: Condition: This vase is in excellent overall condition and complete in form. It has a flared mouth, a long neck, a cylindrical body, and a clearly visible foot. The peach-red glaze is decorated with green flowers, the glaze color is vibrant and natural, and there are no obvious cracks, chips, or glaze peeling. Slight natural wear is visible around the foot, consistent with the period. The six-character underglaze blue mark "Made in the Kangxi Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty" is clearly visible on the base. Provenance: Private collection, California, USA. Description: This large peach-red and green-flower glazed vase from the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty is a classic example of a high-temperature fired copper-red glazed imperial ceremonial vessel. The vase is 41 cm high, has a mouth diameter of 14 cm, and bears a six-character underglaze blue mark "Made in the Kangxi Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty" on the base. The bottle is elegantly shaped with a flared mouth, a wide and rounded neck, a long and slender neck, a full and rounded body, and a delicate foot rim. Its proportions are balanced, its outline simple, exuding the charm of classic Qing dynasty ornaments. The entire bottle is covered in a peach-red glaze, accented with naturally flowing emerald green glaze. Moss-like green veins are scattered across the soft rose-red base glaze, creating the famous "peach-red moss" effect. The red and green colors transition naturally across the bottle, presenting a rich sense of layering and texture. The flow of the glaze is entirely formed by the firing process, showcasing the unique charm of the Qing dynasty imperial copper-red glaze. The glaze layer at the mouth is slightly thinner, revealing a soft white edge, further enhancing the layering. The foot rim is a delicate brownish-red, finely finished, with a pure white glaze on the bottom. The center of the bottle is decorated with a vertically written six-character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue, the brushstrokes steady and the blue tone deep. The interior is entirely covered in white glaze, creating an elegant contrast with the dazzling exterior glaze. Peach blossom glaze is one of the most challenging glazes among Qing Dynasty imperial porcelain, and large pieces with the Kangxi mark are particularly valuable. This vase is exquisitely crafted, features a rare glaze, and is large in size, making it an ideal choice for Chinese porcelain collectors and elegant home décor.
