拍品描述 翻译
Dimensions:Mouth diameter 5.5cm(2.17in),overall height 5.6cm(2.20in),13th?14th Century CECondition & Provenance:The pair survives fully intact without cracks or chips, free of modern restoration. Both censers are well?proportioned with full rounded rims and complete beast?form tripod feet. They are covered in classic Jun sky?blue glaze suffused with fluid flowing rose?purple kiln?change splashes, accompanied by fine authentic age crackle across the glaze surface. The exposed foot tips reveal dry solid brown?toned clay with archaic trimming details.Minute glaze bubbles and minor pitting are original firing features;only faint inherited wear can be seen on foot tips. This pair comes from a private Song?Yuan ceramic collection in Chicago,Illinois,USA.The collector acquired them from a prominent Hong Kong antique gallery in the 1990s and preserved them in climate?controlled dark storage.Intact matched pairs of miniature Jun?yao scholar?studio censers are quite scarce among surviving examples.Description:This matched pair of tiny tripod censers was made for incense burning within ancient Chinese scholar studios. Each piece has a flared rim, compressed neck, plump bulbous body and three miniature beast?shaped support feet, rendering a dainty compact silhouette.Thin glaze along the rim yields warm amber?brown edge tint. The exterior is enveloped in thick Jun sky?blue glaze, overlaid with sweeping rose?purple kiln?transformation splashes.Merging hues of purple, crimson and pale blue embody the celebrated magical color?shift aesthetic of Jun ware.Glaze stops short on the base, leaving the three foot tips exposed with coarse dark?brown clay body typical of northern Yuan?dynasty Jun kilns. Most Jun?yao tripod censers survive as single specimens;undamaged matched pairs such as this are uncommon. They were employed for incense while playing zither or reading books. Each censer displays its own distinctive kiln?splash pattern with rich thick glaze and natural crackling. All ancient inherited patina is preserved untouched. They powerfully reflect the exuberant, brilliant kiln?change aesthetic of Yuan?dynasty Jun ceramics and count as museum?grade matched scholar?studio treasures.
