拍品描述 翻译
Dimensions:Overall height 11.5 cm (4.5 in), mouth diameter 5.8 cm (2.3 in), Qing Dynasty (17th?18th Century CE)Condition & Provenance:The jar remains intact without penetrating cracks or major chips. The glaze bears natural firing crackle, and the flowing mottled color streaks blend organically. Only faint antique wear is visible around the rim, with no modern repainting or restoration. The exposed foot rim shows genuine age?related patina. Classified as Qing?dynasty porcelain, this piece left China decades ago and was kept in a private collection of oriental art in Miami, Florida, USA. It retains vintage dealer stickers and provenance paperwork, with no artificial alteration such as added enamel or ground?down base.Description:This small tiger?skin sancai jar from the Kangxi reign represents a distinctive low?fired polychrome ceramic of the Qing court era. It has a stout, well?proportioned form with short neck, straight mouth, full rounded shoulders, bulging body tapering gently toward the flat unglazed base, compact and pleasing silhouette. Tiger?skin sancai is a special variant of plain sancai palette, made without red glaze. The potter splashed and blended green, yellow and purple?brown glazes freely over the white ground. During firing, these colored glazes bleed and merge into irregular mottled patches evoking tiger fur patterns, hence its widely?known name. On this jar, colors interpenetrate vividly, shifting between deep and light tones across the surface. Fine natural crackle covers the whole glazed area under soft mellow antique luster. The interior unglazed cavity carries old accumulated dirt from centuries of use. Glaze also flows over the base rim, and the foot shows dry genuine clay texture typical for Kangxi tiger?skin sancai wares. Each tiger?skin sancai object is one?of?a?kind, since the random glaze flow cannot be fully controlled in the kiln. Well?preserved small examples are fairly scarce nowadays. With crisp shape, lively mottled glaze and solid condition, this jar perfectly captures the free?spirited decorative aesthetic of Kangxi sancai porcelain. It holds meaningful research value for Qing polychrome craft and makes a fantastic desktop display piece, highly sought?after among international collectors of Chinese Qing porcelain.
