Jade pendants showing the auspicious “monkeys with peach” motif were high in demand during the Qing Dynasty and a symbol for promotion to a higher position and longevity. This example is well rounded, showing the monkeys with the outsized peach between them and the imagery bearing reticulation for suspension.
