Description: dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Sumatra, Long, straight, single-edged blade, in steel, pattern welded, with deep groove, the back shrinks toward the foible. Tumpang beuteueng type grip, in light, checkered horn, the base with a beautiful ring-nut in solid gold, with blue and green enamels (some parts of enamel are missing), at the base of the ring-nut an iron frame, shaped as lobed petals. A lot of specimens with golden frame, like this one, were deprived of precious parts. Wooden scabbard (damaged), engraved with elaborated decorations. Very scarce. length 74 cm.
