Height 21 cm (8.3"). Weight 1316 g. From North German private collection. Karmapa's hands holding a phurba and a vajra. Seated in full lotus posture (dhyana-asana) on a lotus pedestal. Wearing a long, three-part robe of a Buddhist monk and a hat in the shape of the famous "Black Crown" (The real "Black Crown" was later offered to the 5th Karmapa, Dezhin Shegpa, by the Chinese Emperor Yung Lo). Slight signs of age and wear.
