An East Tibetan or Mongolian gilt bronze figure of Green Tara Gilt and cold gold painted, with taces of colour pigments, seated upon a lotus pedestal in the relaxed posture rajalilaasana, with right leg extended and the left drawn up towards the body, the right hand extended in varadamudra, the left held at the heart, vitarkamudra, while holding the stem of a lotus flower which blooms above the left shoulder, the hair with blue pigment and styled into a top-knot with some falling loose across the shoulders, wearing a jeweled crown inset with turquoise and flowing robes, the base sealed. Period: 18th century. Height: 18.5 cm.
