Description: Satsuma vase - Japan, Meiji period, stoneware, transparent, craquelure glazed, on thebaluster-shaped wall extensive decoration in the ''brocade style'' with lots of gold, in two large image reserves figurative representations in fine polychrome painting, laterally small cartouches with scholar rock and peony flowers, innumerable filigree brocade borders with small-detailed ornamentation, unmarked, golden leaf border partly rubbed on the edge, H.ca.30cm, Japan Meiji period 1869-1912, inside brass fitting with round opening, the vase was probably converted to the lamp, bottom however not perforated
