Artist Name: Miro, Joan Title: Derriere le Miroir, no. 186, pg 4,5 Medium: Lithograph Edition Size: Unknown Year: 1970 Paper Size: 15 x 22 inches Image Size: 15 x 22 inches Condition: A-: Near Mint, very light signs of handling Notes: Miro’s art is based on the purity of poetic emotion and spontaneity of execution. The artist found his favorite medium in lithography. The importance of his graphic work, continuous renewal and enrichment of his style show the high value which the artist attached to this medium of expression. This is an original double page lithograph from Derriere Le Miroir, no. 186, 1970, pg 4,5. Derrière le Miroir was the legendary art revue published in Paris by Aime Maeght, from 1946 through 1982. Artists who contributed original lithographs included Chagall, Miro, Giacometti and Calder. Often known by collectors simply as DLM, all issues of Derrière le Miroir are now scarce, and have become quite valuable.
