Mourlot Number 432, published by Maeght in 1965. Page 6-7. Derrière le Miroir was the legendary art revue published in Paris by Aime Maeght, from 1946 through 1982. Artists who contributed original lithographs included Chagall, Miro, Giacometti and Calder. Often known by collectors simply as DLM, all issues of Derrière le Miroir are now scarce, and have become quite valuable.Creating a lithograph requires quick drawing without hesitations or alteration, a solid and bare composition, free shapes in a fluid space. Pursuing this, Miro uses black ink with a range of values and refined tones, reaching wild and playful effects.
