The interior is finely decorated with a narrative scene depicting six female riders amongst trees and plants in a fenced courtyard, all below officials looking on from a raised pavilion. Catalogue note: Compare a similar dish sold at Bonhams Knightsbridge, 9 May 2016, lot 61. This scene is taken from the famous story 'The Generals of the Yang Family' which takes place in the Northern Song Dynasty when the women of the Yang family gallop out to fight against the Khitan army after the men had been killed. Condition: Appears to be in overall good condition, with light wear to the enamels and minute burst glaze bubbles to the rim. Origin: China Period: Kangxi period (1662-1722) Sizes: 8.00 cm.
