Late 19th/early 20th centuryOf muso-zutsu form, carved in sunk relief with a puppy seated in deep snow, turning to look at a fukujuso (adonis) flower, sealed Tomioka; the brocade tabako-ire decorated with chidori (plovers) over seigaiha (formalised waves), the mae-kanagu of gold, silver and shakudo, formed as two swimming fish, the shibuichi plate on the reverse engraved and gilded with grasses and jakago (basket and stone breakwaters) in chinkinbori; with a bamboo and metal pipe; and a glass ojime.
