By Chiku, late 19th/early 20th centuryOf muso-zutsu form, carved in low relief with a Dutchman and a small dog on a leash, with slight details inlaid with gold, signed with seal Chiku, containing a silvered metal and bamboo pipe within; the tabako-ire of brocade, decorated with scattered kanji, with a silver mae-kanagu in the form of an elephant and mahout, the uraza (metal plate on the reverse) signed Seigyoku; and an ivory filigree ojime.
