The date aperture highlighted with a man's head. Signed 'Sam Stretch Birmingham', the movement united by four (originally five) knopped and turned pillars, with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on a bell, now contained in a burr-walnut veneered floorstanding case with square topped hood over a long door with lenticle. 2.02ms (6ft 6.5ins) high
