each bowl with steeply rounded sides flaring to the lipped rim, finely enamelled to the exterior with a fruiting and flowering Balsam pear entwined around a spray of bamboo and with a hovering butterfly above, the stems extending over the rim onto the interior, the matching shallow domed cover with raised circular knop doubling as a foot when inverted, similarly painted on the exterior and interior with fruiting vine, bamboo and butterflies, the base of the bowl and the interior of the knop inscribed with a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue, fitted box
