A delicately designed famille-rose shou saucer with the character "shou" at the centre, surrounded by flowers and bats near the rim. Size: 3cm x 14.5cm x 8.5cm. Condition: Small chip on side. Note: "Shou" means longevity, which was always greated when meeting with the Emperor. The word "bat" also means fortune and luck, which are typically found on "shou" dishes from Qing and later Ming Dynasty. Property of a French collector from 1918, thence by descent.
